| JOICO PRODUCTS Created with integrity and hair health as the main ingredients, the Joico business, started in 1975, rapidly expanded as the company's scientific approach to haircare took the US by storm. When research revealed how keratin protein from human hair could be captured and used to nourish, repair and rebuild hair, Joico introduced the component to all its products. It was the first step towards the brand's commitment to 'the art of healthy hair' - a mission still at the company's core today. And, as the science behind the brand became more advanced over the next two decades, so did the products. Joico's unique positively-charged hydrolysed keratin protein made its debut in 1992, packed with properties enabling it to adhere to the hair structure and tackle cuticle damage more effectively. Market share growth across Europe began to soar in the mid 1990s, prompting the business to create a distribution centre in the Netherlands to meet the increasing demands of customers in the region, and as far afield as Africa and the Middle East. Joico scientists faced a challenge in 1996, as European legislation banned the use of ingredients of human origin in cosmetic products - threatening to put the brand's key hair protein ingredient out of bounds. But the issue was soon resolved before the ruling was introduced. Joico researchers developed an innovative alternative, composed of the 19 essential amino acids found in natural hair protein at the perfect concentration - right down to the molecular weights and sizes. Joico has won a host of celebrity fans too. Dean Banowetz, hairdresser on American Idol and the Pirates of the Caribbean movies, swears by the K-Pak range when he is teasing the tresses of stars such as Johnny Depp, Keira Knightley, Orlando Bloom and American Idol presenter Ryan Seacrest. And Johnny's own personal stylist has reportedly requested the K-Pak products for use backstage on his superstar client's latest film... The Joico Hair Repair System Whenever the hair has been coloured, highlighted, straightened, spent long periods in the sun, or any combination of the above, then the hair will be damaged. The Joico Hair Repair System gives you the opportunity to correct this and redress the natural balance of the hair. Normally one treatment, carried out during your usual salon visit then maintained at home with the correct Joico products, is enough. In extreme cases one treatment a week for a month may be necessary. 3 x Treatment (including 4 K-Pak products) costs £167.00 - a saving of 10%. Dieter also uses other top quality products from companies such as Fudge and L'Oreal. |
